I spent thirty years advising some of the world's biggest brands.
I know how the system works, because I've worked deep inside it (sorry about that, by the way.)
So what's the difference between Gramskii and a sustainability consultant?
Sustainability consultants tend to work within the system, on the practical, 'green' stuff (recycling bins, ESG, offset certificates, a logo redesign in a reassuring shade of green).
I work on the system itself, the thing no-one talks about because, apparently, it's a 'given'.
This is important because the system defines what the practical stuff ends up being.
What can you expect?
You might arrive thinking you need to be "more sustainable."
You may leave realising that was never the question; it was 'why am I in this business at all?'
(a question most consultancies avoid - it's dangerous territory).
You may still end up with a sustainability programme. But if you do, it'll be a result of your conscience, not your PR department.
Or you may end up somewhere else entirely, closer to why you started out in business in the first place.
