The Revolution Will Not Be Monetised

*I'm aware that posting on LinkedIn for free still helps LinkedIn but there's no way to work 100% outside the system . The line I'm drawing isn't "no contact with capitalism." It's "no paying for reach."

100% Independent & Corporate-Free.

Download the book or get the paperback- it's free.
(Imagine the following read defiantly by Gil Scott-Heron to a very cool back beat)
The Revolution Will Not Be Monetised
The Dragon & the Hummingbird isn't a lead magnet, a loss leader, the top of a sales funnel or a bait-and-switch scam.
You do not need to hand over your email address, your passport, your firstborn, or a retina scan.
Your data will not be scraped, sold, or added to my mailing list.
I don’t expect you to smash the like button, hit subscribe, or ring the bell.
You will not be receiving a free pen from Michael Parkinson.
The Revolution Will Not Be Monetised
You will not be asked to reply with 'BOOK' in the comments box below.
There will not be a limited-time countdown timer to create artificial scarcity.
And you will not be invited to to join my paid-subscription community to gain access to essential content held behind a paywall and only available to 'Premium Members'.
You will definitely not be offered online one-to-one coaching, or be invited to join me on my Capitalism-Detox retreat in Bali.
The Revolution Will Not Be Monetised
I will not be telling you I made six figures last month, imply that everyone else is doing better than you, that things will really take off once you apply my 'approach', or that, if you don't read my book there is something essential missing from your soul.
I will not video myself walking around a large house, implying that I live there. (If no large house is available, I will not talk to you from the front seat of my car, making me look like a homeless person).
I will not be holding one of those fluffy little Bluetooth microphones.
The Revolution Will Not Be Monetised
I will not be dropping scheduled content during peak engagement windows, optimising my Adwords, my website, or my meta-descriptions (whatever they are).
I will not refer to you as a hyper-targeted demographic.
I will not be engaging an influencer to promote my book.
Nor become an influencer myself to promote my book.
No YouTube channels will be launched featuring me holding something intriguing to make you stop scrolling.
And I will not, on any account, be paying Zuckerberg, Musk, or Bezos to advertise on their platforms.*
The Revolution Will Not Be Monetised
Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell will not interrupt their analysis of the war in Sudan to explain why The Dragon & the Hummingbird is their favourite summer reading, (or why HSBC / Morgan Stanley / American Express is their chosen bank when travelling abroad.)
Steven Bartlett will not be asking me searching, earnest questions on his latest podcast.
Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer will not extol the wit and wisdom of my book during their half-time banter.
The Revolution Will Not Be Monetised
When posting on Linkedin, my first question will not be 'how will this effect my algorithm?'
The images I select to adorn my posts will not contain cleavage.
In fact, I will avoid doing anything contrived just to grab your eyeballs.
I will only share what moves me, feels authentic or touches something 'real'.
Because I want to prove it's possible to succeed without commoditising our souls.
And that, to 'fit in' we have don't have to be a shittier version of ourselves.
In fact, that we can live happy lives without bending ourselves out of shape to fit in.
Or finally, to worry that, by challenging the system, we might get kicked off LinkedIn.
The Revolution Will Not Be Monetised, Will Not Be Monetised, Will Not Be Monetised, Will Not Be Monetised...
